Jhamtse Buddhist Center

Each week the Jhamtse Buddhist Center sanghas meet for a short meditation, followed by discussions on various dharma texts, talks or videos. To find out about the current readings at the sangha gatherings, please contact the sangha coordinators (links below).

The Concord Wednesday Morning sangha will resume meeting on September 8, when it will continue the study of Shantideva's "Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life," Chapter 8. The Concord Thursday Evening sangha will resume discussion of Pema Chodron's "Comfortable with Uncertainty" on Sept. 2.

Everyone is invited to attend weekly sangha gatherings and share the spirit of community with old friends and new. Regardless of your familiarity (even if it's "none") with Buddhist teachings, and even if you haven't been in active practice for a while, you can join in any Jhamtse Buddhist Center sangha session and receive a heartfelt welcome.

Concord:

Fall 2010: All three sanghas are studying Buddhist texts while Venerable Lobsang is in India; you are welcome to join whenever you are able and interested in our lively and informative discussions. Other events are also being planned; please join our mailing list or contact a sangha coordinator.

The spiritual director and teacher of the Jhamtse Buddhist Center is the Venerable Lobsang Phuntsok. Venerable Lobsang also offers dharma talks and presentations on the principles of Buddhism in the greater Boston area, throughout New England, and in Canada.
