Visitors...

  • Watched Tibetan monks from Namgyal Monastery complete a sand mandala of compassion
  • Shopped at Tibetan marketplace and ate Tibetan snacks
  • Painted Tibetan Buddhist sacred statues (tsatsas)
  • Learned about painting with sand and tried it themselves
  • Had their names written in Tibetan script by Ven. Amdo
  • Saw an exhibit of photographs of the Himalayas

Venerable Lobsang Phuntsok spoke on What Is Lacking In Education Today: A Tibetan Buddhist Monk's Perspective.

An authentic Tibetan dinner was served. Venerable Lobsang offered a keynote address, followed by a video of the creation of the mandala and a special awards ceremony.

Everyone enjoyed a performance by acclaimed Tibetan musician Penpa Tsering and James Durst & Trio Life.
